UAA CTE Survey – please help

imgres    During the spring semester 2013 the UAA Community & Technical College will be conducting a needs assessment of CTE teachers and administrators to define and prioritize professional development needs.. Kelly Donnelly, Program Coordinator, will be reaching out to representative school districts to arrange structured interviews with teachers from February through April. In May an electronic survey will be distributed via the CTE listserv, professional organizations, and CTE department listserv.

The purpose of this effort is to make data informed decisions about the types of professional development opportunities required to support teachers and school districts. It is independent of any Perkins funding districts may already be receiving. The results of this needs assessment will be summarized in a report and distributed to administrators for planning purposes. It will be the foundation upon which UAA’s CTE Department builds its educator professional development activities. These activities are supported by a grant from the Department of Education and Early Development.
For more information about the needs assessment survey, professional development opportunities, or related issues please contact Kelly Donnelly, at (907) 786-6364 or kadonnelly@uaa.alaska.edu
